2023 Write-Up:
The first mix of my first album under my DJ Bathtub alias, I still feel satisfied with how this one turned out. I wish "Musique concrète Piece #1 (12-15-2016)" was pieced together a bit better, but for a record I made when I was 17 years old, I'm surprised how fun the improvisations still sound to listen to.
The first track was composed at a vacation house in South Carolina, while the rest was composed at my (at the time) home in Johnson City, Tennessee. "Turntable Piece #1 (06-13-2016)" was made with a crappy Fisher-Price turntable, while the rest were made with a Marantz turntable. "Turntable Piece #2 (12-14-2016)" was made with a vinyl laden with Scotch tape to make its grooves be left up to chance.

This is a bunch of improvised turntable music tunes—curious explorations with the sound ranges of vinyl and turntables.
